A former secondary school content teacher, Ron Rohac has been providing successful onsite professional development workshops and courses, webinars, and online training and coaching support to states, school districts, schools, and university education courses since 1993. Ron's professional development workshops feature practical strategies, techniques, and activities that content teachers can easily and immediately integrate within their daily lesson plans and which make the concepts and language of the lesson more comprehensible to English learners. These strategies and activities are an adaptation of the sheltered instruction approach (also referred to as SDAIE or SIOP), and are based on ELL instructional best practices and years of classroom teaching experience.
