Professional Development

Ensuring the academic success of the growing population of English Language Learners (ELLs) in schools across the nation lead educators to search for answers to help schools address ELLs' content and academic challenges. If you or your school faces these challenges, Teaching English Learners and TEL author and teacher educator Ron Rohac can help.

Teaching English Learners (TEL) provides a variety of teacher-tested online professional development videos ("One Minute Strategies"), DVD modules/courses, and virtual consulting services, as well as practical onsite training workshops. Each Teaching English Learners' membership provides practical professional development materials tools inservice professional development as well as for preservice teacher education courses. All of our professional development services complement and integrate with the thousands of Teaching English Learners' lesson plans, strategies, and activities available with membership.

Our goal is to make English learners academically successful by supporting the teachers who work with these students every day—in the science, math, English language arts, social studies, and ESL classroom.

"Whether it’s teaching in the block, SIOP, technology integration, classroom management, or working with students from poverty, Mr. Rohac is an invaluable teacher improvement resource.”
